EU Declaration of Conformity – Product Compliance Manager

Instructions:

1. Use the full title of the Directives, not just the reference. So for example: Directive 2014/35/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of electrical equipment designed for use within certain voltage limits instead of Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU);

2. When quoting the standards, please use just the reference numbers including the versions(!), and including the applicable corrections and amendments. For example, EN 60204-1:2006 + A1:2009 + AC:2010.

3. The form asks if you used a Notified Body. Please note a test laboratory is not a Notified Body. In most cases, the answer will be No.

4. The Declaration should be signed by a person in your company that is authorised to sign on behalf of the company, because this is an official document that has legal effect. Typically a Vice-President or President signs the Declaration of Conformity.
